3 weeks, 100 layers of lacquer & the 125 year old, grade 1 listed Blackpool Tower Ballroom has been restored!
It’s one of the most famous buildings in the UK, inspired by The Eiffel Tower and built in 1894, the ballroom itself is one of the most beautiful and famous ballrooms in the whole of the UK, all with original plasterwork and an amazing painted ceiling.
The Ballroom hasn’t had a huge restoration since 1957 and we’re in charge of restoring the beautiful wooden dance floor.
Constructed of 3 different types of wood and made of 30, 602 separate blocks of mahogany, walnut and oak.
It’s a HUGE job for us, with tons of challenges and has been one of the most breathtaking floors we’ve ever restored!
Will we finish it in time?
Watch till the end to find out!
In this video we explore the history of Blackpool Tower and its iconic Ballroom.
